At first sight, I thought that was a prototype photo!! Then I saw on his site that he uses photoshop to add diesel exhaust, sky, etc. I love 'doctoring' photos. but had not thought of doing it with models. Here are a couple photos from the FHHT (Free Heaven Harbour Terminal RR). This is an N scale layout made by four French people and built according to Fine Scale standards (code 40 track). Hope you enjoy them More photos of this layout can be found on the traiN'ternet web site : http://www.trainternet.org/ Jean-Louis Simonet

Those pictures and the modelling are superb!! It is difficult to believe that it is N scale - wonderful work. I don't think I could even come close to that perfection. But true inspiration to us all ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery

quote:
Originally posted by Colonel: Great pictures Helge does your hump yard operate ok?

It works OK with exception for a few box cars (old MiniTrix). I´m working with the electrics nowadays, and will come back later on, when more details are added. ------ Helge
A couple taken last Saturday on the Sydney N Gauge MRC's layout. Soo units are mine, UP/BNSF units are Colonel's, the rest are SNGMRC members. The BN units hiding over back are nicely detailed Kato/Atlas units, as per photos. Gary. ------------------ Gary A. Wouldn't everyone like some great bridges on their layout? Here is a picture from dave Winters Winter Valley Region Railways You can see more pics at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=1044719&a=8502452 ------------------ Regards Paul Cassar-Moderator & Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
Thanks Paul. That was nice. BTW the large trestle at the back is a scale model of CN's 250' long trestle at Rivers Manitoba, just an hour or so west of Winnipeg. The original trestle, circa 1920, was a wooden structure about 90 feet high and almost a mile long. Most of the valley was literally "filled in" as the trestle was gradually buried at both ends. Enjoy ------------------ Dave Winter Owner/Operator Winter Valley Regional Railway
Further progress info from my hump yard will be shown at the new topic "Hump yard" started Nov 16, 2000 by Conrailrad. It is no use to have several topics with same content. ------ Helge SR&WF [This message has been edited by HelgeK (edited 19 November 2000).]
Here are two pictures that first inspired me when planning my layout. I downloaded the pictures from a site but have since lost the URL. Has anyone seen this layout before as I'd like to give credit to the fellow modeller. ------------------ Regards Paul Cassar-Moderator & Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
