    Hi folks,

Looking for some advice/help on how to proceed. Earlier, I had asked about materials to use for a layout fascia and masonite board was recommended. I used this and it worked very well, thanks everyone for your help with that!

I have used it so far on one side of the layout (it's a door), and put in the panels to hook up the throttles etc with great ease.

Now for the issue.......... I am going to put this up on the other side of the layout, but want to include a modification. Besides having the panels, I want to include a small shelf where I can hold my dcc command station. It's a Digitrax Zephyr unit. It's not very large, and certainly not heavy at all, but I do want to make sure it is securely held.

How can I build a shelf to do this onto the masonite board?

    Use sanctified Masonite

aka Holy Masonite, aka Pegboard. Use a small section of pegboard, there are clips you can use with pegboard that allow you to "fix" the pegs in place so they don't get accidentally knocked out, but you can still remove them easily.
