Doesn't matter where you post! All that counts, is letting us follow along as you progress!

I have started to ballast the yard area, so that is the first picture. But of bigger concern is I am at a lost for how to scenic the 'loop' area. I am modeling SP&S in the late 1960's in Oregon/Washington. I decided to build the track first since that was kind of forced by the room layout, oh, and I was itching to run some trains. Any ideas? Orignally the center was going to be a mountain with a logging road climbing through it towards the back wall.

Maybe I'm tired at this hour.... Can't place the brand of turntable you've installed. What is it?

PECO. I went with a smaller turntable in this area, all my diesel engines fit it. I have a longer (120') turntable that will be used in another area in which a branch line will be point to point.
I purchased this on eBay, already weathered. Cheating, but I have to cut corners somewhere or I'll never be running trains.
