    514 is one of only two former N&W passenger GP9s still extant (the other, 521, is in the VMT), it's the only one running. The others were either scrapped or turned into TC10s...

    What about (former N&W) # 620 that is at the NC Transportation Museum? Was that a freight only unit?

    I like the unique features, such as the rounded cab roof and nose, the built out headlight, new style numberboards, etc...

    Yes, 620 is a freight GP9. The true N&W passenger Geeps were fairly unique in detail (note the GP20-esque sill and fuel tank on the 514)
