The Appalachian and Atlantic Railroad has bought 2 "Cabeese" from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Company to begin the process of replacing the much older fleet of cabeese. These "cabeeses" will probably not be repainted anytime soon, being they recieved a paint job just weeks before the Burlington Northern - Santa Fe merger. [ 07. Nice looking models Pat, I'm an old cabeese lover myself. Every train on the layout has a caboose or it dosn't move!!
while most railroads are throwing there cobeeses away, I'm buying them up and putting them to good use.
Like Andy i too am a cabeese lover. i always watch for the rear of the train to see if it has a caboose. For my layout i have over 12 types. i've made a couple from scratch too. The A&A should be real happy with the acquisition of the two cabeese. Nice pics Pat. [ 08. January 2003, 20:28: Message edited by: railery ]
