Has any company made an EMD F3 in N scale? Are they still available? I'll need a few FTs and a few F3s for my road freights. SAL had 22 A/B sets of FTs,11 F3As and 3 sets of ALCo FA/FBs. As well as 14 of the most awesome 1st generation diesels built-- Baldwin "centipedes." Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever get to model the Baldwins
Kato made F3's a few years back in both A and B units, possibly in more than one phase. (I think there were two different "runs"). FT's appear to be upcoming projects by Micro-Trains and Intermountain Railway (see separate post by someone else); both slated for 2001. You can still find the Kato units at shops/shops/online auctions. I had a bunch at one time and was well pleased with their performance.
