I have a Tam Valley Quad-Pic decoder that I have working with a ROCO Z21. I will be moving the Z21 to another layout and using the ECoS 50210 on the large layout. I created an accessory in the ECoS for a left hand switch and have the DCC address set correctly (same as the Z21). However, when I throw the switch, nothing happens.

For the Z21, I can power it back up, re-install the iPad software and add a new switch with the DCC address and it works.

    Any ideas?

    Here is the Quad-Pic controller:

I got this working by setting the decoder to re-address it and then sent the command from the ECoS. And all was right with the world!

This is because Z21 uses slightly different addressing scheme for decoders. Effectively under default settings of Z21 the accessory address is offset by 4, i.e. address 4 set by a Digitrax command station becomes 8 on Z21...
There is a firmware updated on Z21 website which makes Z21 follow the same pattern as all the other manufacturers of DCC command stations.
