Hi Guys: This may have been asked before, but I'll ask again in case its changed Are there any users of EMRI (Easy Model Railroad Inventory) in the group? I am using it, and I like it but would like to talk some things over with experienced users Thanks TIM
I have used a simple spread sheet for many years. I wonder if this offers any features I might find to be useful?
I've also been using an Excel file to manage that. There are so many possibilities, especially date calculations to figure how many days have elapsed since the last run or the last maintenance intervention. But I did give that software a whirl. For starters, the sheer number of features is overwhelming. That makes the interface quite cumbersome just to find what you're looking for. It took me about twenty minutes to figure out that to "Maintain" locomotives includes adding locos to the database. Adding locos or rolling stock also suffers from a cumbersome interface. For the record, I'm sticking to my trusty Excel file, but I will keep the software installed to mess around with it. jm2c...
