Yeah don't think I would ever notice? I'll find out soon as I am going to order some to see. I think all of them on that keychain page?
I just got a few of these. Nice, however, just for your info, they are too wide to be hauled as a flat car load. Many of the prior ones were just the right width for a train car.
Will they fit on a Low Boy trailer? Even if not, I'll get them just for the layout as scenery. I want a small construction area, or shop on my tiny layout. And that's cheap compared to other's that are sold. Even if NOT true 1:160! Just placed and order for ALL of them! I'll let you know what they look like when I get them.
Large pieces of construction equipment are frequently shipped by rail, but some disassembly may be required. The width of the Diecast Masters Cat 320 excavator (over the tracks) is 134.72 N scale (1:160) inches. You can see in the photo above that the prototype excavator on HTTX 92935 has some overhang, just like the model did when I placed it on an InterMountain 60-ft flatcar. Also, note that the bucket has been removed and is behind the machine. This was probably done to reduced the height of the load. An overpass on I-84 near where I live was taken out by an excavator being hauled on a trailer that was to tall to fit under the overpass. The width of the Diecast Masters Cat D8T (over the tracks) is 113.52 N scale (1:160) inches. Of course the blade is over 14 scale feet wide, so that would be removed for rail transport. Oversized (large) construction equipment is frequently moved by low boy trailers, but you would need wide load signs and pilot cars to be legal on most highways. The maximum width that can be moved on a highway varies by location, so you may want to check the regulations for the area you are modeling. Also, the ag tractor keychains on the Action Toys website will look huge next to 1:160 scale equipment. I purchased the Case-IH 4WD tractor, and it turned out to be significantly larger than I expected. Carter
If they are close that good enough for me. As long as I like them, that's all that matters! Thanks for the info about that store! For 3-5 bucks worth a try.
