Hey all, hope someone can help me with this. I'm using a Digitrax DN 142k (plug n play) decoder with a Kato SD90 on a Digitrax Empire Builder II. The problems is that the loco is too fast. With the throttle set at '01', the engine runs at almost full speed. This is a new problem but I can't remember changing any settings on my system. Is there some way to feed it less power or something? Thanks in advance!
There might be a problem with the decoder, but first I'd try resetting CV 2 to a low number. [ 09 July 2002, 23:09: Message edited by: Pete ]
Hey--This might have nothing to do with it but at Trains.com it mentions there being a problem and it has a link to the Kato website and how to fix it. It may be a different problem, though.http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/002/665ufoco.asp Derek
Thanks for the help but so far it's still on the fritz. Time to take a step back and work on my rc cars for a day or so...
I am puzzled? The DN 142 is NOT a PnP for the N scale Kato locos, as far as I know (and I do have 5 Kato N scale SD80's) The DN 141K2 is the recommended "Premium" PnP replacement board, however, the DN 148K also fits. Harold
Okay, my friend fixed it--Thanks for CV heads up Pete Woops, I meant 141K2 chessie, dyslexia strikes again (uugghhhh)--thanks for the correction.
