I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have made the switch to DCC (N scale). I have a KATO SD-70M without a decoder. I have been waiting for Tony's to get the plug and play decoder in from Digitrax (only company that makes one as far as I know) for about 6-8 weeks. I'd really like to use this engine. Can anyone help me find a plug and play decoder for it? I've soldered in decoders in HO scale, but don't really want to try it in N scale.
There at two places on the web that I use for getting decoders if I can't get them at my local train shops and they usually have a good supply. So here are the links for the DN163K1B decoders you need: http://www.gadgettom.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DN163K1B&Category_Code=D-N https://www.johnshobbies.com/store/...id=79&osCsid=1afbc4115950e8328ba9f30d38c7fa70

Thanks for the further resources. I ordered one from John's Hobbies yesturday. The big challenge was making sure I ordered the right one. In talking with 3 different shops, I got three answers DN163k2, DN163K1A, and DN163K1B. After talking with both Kato and Digitrax, we narrowed it down to the DN163K1B. My newest engine I just bought already has DCC in it!
