Can any one offer advice on why some; Not all of my DCC equipped Locomotives operating on a DC throttle seem to lurch, like a surge then slow then surge again. Is it one of the CV's I need to adjust or turn off.
Is the DC power "smooth" or "pulsed"? Some DC powerpacks provide pulsed DC which helps get standard DC locos going, but only serves to confuse the decoders, resulting in some erratic behaviour... Some decoders can be set to run on DC or not (basically an on/off CV) or to slow to a stop on detecting DC. The exact CV may depend on the manufacturer of the decoder. Andrew
