In N scale I was running 11-12 volts.

In HO scale I don't know, 14-15 volts?

I have one Atlas engine with sound.

    Thanks,

    Loco1999:

The track voltage for HO using DCC is 16 volts.

That's the default value for the Lenz 100 system.

    Thanks Bob.

I will bump it up from 15v to 16v. [IMG]

    Can I ask........

If I get a reverser, Lenz or Tony's???

Can I use a manual throw on the turnout ?
Or should I power it with my LS-150 ?
Or does it not matter to the reverser?

    Thanks,
    Keith ( Loco1999 )

    Keith:

I happen to like the Lenz reverse loop module. I have four of those and one from Tony's.

You can power your turnouts with the LS -150.

You have one. You might as well use it.

    Thanks Bob.

    I will use it.

I may make a long graded
    run to the reversing section.

Is it better to have two reverse loops?

    A couple more questions......

Are the turnout and the reverser connected?
Or does throwing the turnout flip the
track current and trip the reverser?

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Keith:

You can have as many reverse loops as you want.

The turnout isn't connected to the reverse loop module. You have to throw the turnout to get out of your reverse loop if a turnout is at the head of the loop.

Keep the grade UNDER 2%. You have the space to do that.

The train running through the loop trips the reversing module.

    Bob,

Thank you, It makes sense now.
    I'll have to order one.

Time to work on the track plan.

You can use a spring switch at the entry/exit of the loop.
