I am starting a small HOn3 layout and have ordered the Digitrax Zephyr DCC system. I have a couple of MDC 2-8-0 Consolidateds and a MDC 2 truck Shay that I want to equipt for DCC. I would like to install either Digitrax or Soundtraxx with steam sound, decoders into these engines. Has anyone done this and what were your results? These are kits and I have not put them together yet. Dale Tomlinson
I have a two truck shay converted to Sn3. The only decoder that I found that will fit is a DZ121. You may be out of luck on the sound
