Graham, I largely use that approach as well, there is a big variety of spray paint out there, and you can usually get pretty close. From this side of the pond it's especially useful, as getting "the right colour" from the US model paint manufacturers is not easy with the UK model market being served by completely different companies etc...
Graham, You did just as you said you would in an earlier post,lol.I was in my local hardware just yesterday & didnt realise the amount of diff. colours now availiable,so I guess you are right who's gunna know? Painting my set this week-end,will post when fin.Does anyone use etch primer for first coat?,over white metal/pewter. Jason.
