Nice shots Harold. What I really like about those big GE's is that they remind me of the ALCO's. Lots of chugging and smoke! Oh and oil leaks too!
I believe GE delivered 3 units delivered decorated as such: # 699, 5000, 5001 (#699 was the end of the CW60AC series, which was continued into the 5000 series, since the SD70's were already slated for the 700 series). I guess they were a commercial propmotion to celebrate diversity in the workplace. Harold

And before I start a flamewar, I'm gonna shut up about "diversity". Really nice pics of GE power, BTW- the CSX colors look great on ACs, and I've been knee-deep in SP AC4400Ws for two years.
Hey, nobody has the "diversity" of power that CSX has! Where else can you find SW's to CW60's?? Harold
Err.........the backlot at Helm Leasing? </font>[/QUOTE]Not even, but if you try the UP, I think you'll find even MORE diversity. They do have steam on the roster.
Nice shots Harold! Its good to see your catching up with the pictures as I'm just getting back to the reading an all bering my computer was down for a few weeks.... Keep up the good work!
OK, try these two places: Illinois Railway Museum Nevada Northern Railway Both have steam, diesel, AND electric locomotives! Sadly, the electrics aren't running on either one (altho IRM does have old interurbans), but both have active steam and diesel. Diverse enough? Not even UP can match it!
Nice pictures harold, Here in Australia, Queensland rail operates diesels, electrics and a few steamers
Hey Steve, Nice shot! I can honestly say that I don't have any shots like that in my collection Thanks for sharing! Harold
