After two years of negotiations, buying land, and raising funds, the Far Corners Empire began construction with little fanfare. Leasing some equipment from the SP and GN, we have begun laying the mainline around the Willbridge yard and towards Cornelius.

Given the size of the pictures, I thought it was G scale.

Good luck on your layout. I know how motivational it is to get started on something that has been in the works for a long time.

The only change to this plan has been that the switch going across the diamond to the eastern branchline has been moved 'east' and is now a curved switch. Assume North is at the top of the plan. As of this weekend I have completed the mainline that is on the right (east) side of the wall. My current question is how to 'scenic' along the backdrop. I'm thinking of building flats. I bought a Walthers backdrop, but the perspective just isn't right, that close to the track. I also have been able to keep all the mainline curves to a min. of 17".
