Does anyone know if Atlas will be coming out w/the Conrail Dash 8-40BW, the conventional (comfort) cab loco? I know they have the Dash 8-40B, regular cab. Thanks for any info jaijef
I'd wager no, since Conrail didn't but any 4-axle B40-8Ws - Santa Fe was the only buyer for those. You may be thinking of the six-axle C40-8W, which Conrail did own. If that's the case, it's anyone's guess, since Atlas hasn't revealed if they intend to produce 6-axle GE Dash-8s to follow-on their 4-axle versions.
Dear Paul thank you correcting me. i thought it was the 4 axle version. Could not tell from pix in THE RAILROAD PRESS mag. Here's to hoping they do. jai
