I have a year-old, Con-cor N scale Big Boy that runs as if it has very dirty wheels -- but it doesn't. It stumbles and stops, the headlight goes out, too. It seems to have a contact problem on one side of its frame. I have had the loco apart several times and can't find the problem. The motor and what little wiring it has is good. It runs slightly better backwards than forwards. Any fixes out there? Otherwise I have a $200.00 paperweight. Thanks.
help is on the way. Jim HInds of ichmond Controls has made a pickup kit to make the tender on the Big-Boy active . you can pickup the loco with the tender on the track and it will continue to run . I have installed about a dozen of these kits with great results. if I can be of any help please contact me. ------------------
