    Harold,

Nice shots , gotta love them CNW lightning bolts
I was very lucky... I thought UP already patched
it but then I looked closer and it was still mark
ed for CNW , I was pumped with laughter and joy
and yelled "Helll yeaah" all the guys at the yard
were looking at me like whats goin on LOL.

You are indeed lucky to catch that! Don't they look great? It will be a pity when they are all repainted, get 'em while you can!

CNW 8701 is heading for Eugene, OR. At the moment it is north of Berenda, CA.

I feel left out  I don't get any CNW units around here. (I did see 2 UP and 1 SSW unit on the CSX at Hamlet today)

Yes, the lightning bolt is sharp!

These Newer Types C&NW units are ok, But
Have you seen any of these units around lately,
Go to my Picture site "Still working on this one"
    http://landstrains.homestead.com/RailFanpictures.html

and I have two C&NW - UP owned units still untouched as of earlyer this year, there not there now so maybe getting repaint, don't know.

CNW 5517 (GP40), retired 6/20/01 unless that number in the picture was 5317. It is at the scrapper.

    UP 403 (GP38-2), renumbered from CNW 4704 on 8/5/01.

5517 it is (was) I don't keep up onthat sort of stuff,
Must have pulled these out shrtly after I got the pictures,
these are right out of my Aunts back yard about a property and a half, 150 feet or so.
This is were the UP runs the cuts out of Cargil in Eddyville IA, seen these units for a long time aroung here, Just got shots of Southern Pacific GP40-2 7945 a last weekend, bet it will be renumbered as soon as 4707 get back.
I have seen SDs here before but that was before I started to Must take camera everywhere rule.
