Don't kill the messenger... 7100 is not the class unit. 7101 is the class GP60. 7100 is former NS 7117. This unit was involved in a fatal accident in the late 90s, and the victims families requested that it be renumbered.
robbDAD, getting any sleep these days?? wait until they are 14 and they sleep all the time!! BTW is it just me or does anyone else HATE the rounded look of these cabs?? Looks like someone had a good belt sander and a few hours of free time
Only the demos have the rounded cabs, and the demos (and the early GP60s) use a modified rounded DB blister as well.
Yes! Definitely! </font>[/QUOTE]O.K.... I'll see what I can do this weekend... I have most of the GP60's Harold
Nice shot, Richard. I caught the same unit within the last couple of weeks. Yesterday, I caught 4 of those GEVO's (ES40DC, according to NS) on a grain train yesterday. Harold
Harold, You may have seen this unit at about the same time I did then. The pic above was taken in Columbia SC about 2 weeks ago. Have been working over there for the past 5 weks and have seen some neat stuff. I'm home this week so I'll try and get more pics posted.
