After starting my 'N' layout with a Kato set from my daughter last christmas, I have been easy to shop for. This year my son and his wife gave me a decoder equipped Atlas SD60(CSX) and a gift certificate to LHS. Daughter and her hubby gave me a check for "train stuff". Am blessed with children that indulge their dad's insanity. Of course they know that their kids will inherit the fruits of his labors. re: obtaining RC 73' centerbeams GOOD LUCK...... these are harder to find than a needle in a haystack. haven't seen any on ebaY in about 2 weeks, but haven't checked in a few days. BEST BET?? pre-order the BNSF or the C&C units that are soon to be released. Of the 4 road numbers released so far, I was only able to get a full set of UP's... only 5 TTX, 8 CP's, and 10 BN's..... for all the trouble getting these, they LOOK and RUN nice... ask the Heritage N trak group, they got to see the inaugural run in Morris,Il few weeks back. I ended up selling ALL my M-T 60' CB's, they just don't look right for me. Happy holidays Ed
I got a new Dremel tool with flex shaft ftom the wife. My old one is at least 25 years old and is pretty cantankerous-I often had to twurl the shaft with my fingers to get it started (I'm talking about the Dremel, of course!! ) Happy New Year! Rod Schaffter
I didn't get a whole lot this year - but my wife did surprise me with a $25 gift certificate that I can spend in any hobby store! Considering that I'm not earning money at the moment ( note that I didn't say "not working"!) it was quite a surprise! Of course, my in-laws did give us a DVD player for Christmas/birthday, so I made out OK! Pat

hmmmmmm I got a set of Rivarossi E-8 B units, a brass trailing truck for a 2-8-2, 4 packs of B&O passenger livery decals for E-8's & 9's, And from a member of TrainBoard, a Cast metal boiler for a Mantua 4-6-2, or a 2-8-2 that will fit either or engine bed of the Pacific or Mikado! THANKS Watash! I'm still working on your return gift!!!!! Which will be ready to run on your layout once I get it finished! And the Christmas normal cloths. which I'm sure the rest of you don't want to hear about! HA! And plenty of snow! And God, all the food!
