This is the layout my mom and I built for the window in the Real Estate Office where she is the borker. It's a 5' X 8' layout built on two 4'x 5' sections of 1x4" construction with 3/8" plywood and half inch sheetrock tops. The track is Atlas Cd100 snap track with 22" radii. Power is an IHC 2-8-0 in SP&S (What else?). The buildings are ceramic Christmas buldings and are mostly lit, as are the street lights, details, etc. If you look closely at the second picture you can see the penguins playing in the Ice falls at the bottome of the window. We put about 100 hours in building this year's edition and it's proudly on display at Keller Williams Realty, Bellingham at 3800 Byron Ave #148 in Bellingham WA.

The ice skaters are not animated. We do have a free standing animated skaiting pond, but it's so gaudy I decided we really didn't want to use it. The lack of animation is largely made up for by the lighting, which my digital cam really doesn't do justice to.
