I have a lot of latex paint on hand and I have a pint of the exact color that I want for my desert layout. Only problem is that it is semi-gloss. I also have some flat white ceiling paint.

Do you think if I mixed maybe a 60/40 mix I would get a flat paint?

Before someone asks why not buy a can of flat, I must mention that it’s just going to be a base paint and I don’t want to buy anymore paint right now.

    Update:
I don’t actually have enough of the desert color to do a trial run. I mixed another color and painted a board to see the results, so I’m just waiting for it to dry now.

How a matte CLEAR coat spray in the fashion of Dull Coat or Krylon Matte Spray finish? Just spray on top of your dried base coat. Never tried it but just an idea.
