Well the lower level "Bedford Branch Line" has been added to the webiste

Click here to take a look at the layout plan for the lower level and let me know what you all think.

Click on layout plan. Once there, scroll down to the lower level link.

Also if you have time, check out the rest of the web site and take a look at the main level plan and let me know what you think.

I am really hoping to get going on construction starting in June of this year. It would rock to have trains rolling by December 2006!!

Very ambitious plan. I am beyond impressed. I especially like that there are no other industries in the isle with the yard. That will reduce operators from tripping over each other. It looks like several operators can be kept VERY busy during a session.

Once I get it built, I will have to recruit and train some operators [IMG] . I have been trying to get the kids involved but I think the whole operations thing is beyond their interest level. Now if I could combine model railroading and hip hop :D

Quick update to the update [IMG]

    1. I am tweaking the upper level plan again [IMG] . I was not real happy with the way the brewery area looked. So I am re-working that area and will loose the reverse loop in the process. I will be dropping the bottling part of the brewery. I am thinking of adding an automobile assembly plant in this area. I still have to do some research into this and see if this is a workable solution. If not, the automobile loading / unloading area will be moved here. I deleted the autorack area near the rolling mill....it looked too congested too me.

    2. Construction will likely be delayed for the Canton Divison :( . The Mrs and I have decided to tackle some fairly large household projects which wil for cetain put a dent into available funds. I have shifted my goals for 2006 and now I hope to have at least the train area preped (need work on walls sealing/paint and electrical) and have the benchwork in place by the end of 2006. I will continue to expand my rolling stock and other materials in a controlled manner in 2006. In the meantime, I may actually install a small yard onto the Plywood Central to allow me to have something to play with in the mean time [IMG]
