I have a 4X8 ho layout that has a very interesting switching center. I am looking into making it a logging camp and was wondering if anyone new of some good buildings to fit the rugged era. Around the 1950's or so. I have quite a few steamers and logging cars but walthers, atlas, and a few other big names don't have much of that sort of building. I am also looking into making a logging camp. You know the kind that has the tall poles and tones of rope, and the little shanty/housing town for the loggers. Does anyone have any plans of that sort or know of a company that has a few good buildings?

Let me snoop. I know out here on the Wet Coast there is a local fellow who does some great logging structures, the problem being I'm in N scale and his stuff is in HO. I'll phone around on and see if he has a web site. He isn't cheap by the way and it means you'll be ordering out of Canada (British Columbia - where there is a great deal of logging - our number one industry here).

I would also suggest you edit your title to something like - "Looking for HO logging structures." That way some one who might know the answer is more likely to respond by just spotting your subjet line.

You could always scratch build em. Theres a wealth of knowledge on this board on doing just that. Take a look at Paul Templar's layouts (look for a post from him in this forum and hit the link in his sig) for some ideas.
