    Ben,
I like it. I really have to think about doing a plymouth or davenport with one of my little Marklin diesels.

I would love to get one of these, but the price is a little steep. Graham Jones has (had?) white metal castings for this same loco shell before the fine scale version was released.

Did you know what they were asking ? Graham's version is designed to ride on the 8800 0-6-0 chassis but does not look bad.

    Cheers

Graham's is a reasonable price. i think it was around $25 US when i checked last, but he doens't always have them in stock. it seems he only has them when i don't have money. ;-) Need to order two of them soon.

The Dutch ones were $350 or more. Maybe as high as $600, I don't remember.

Wow, this is one of the smallest engines in Holland. Some are still running today, and not only for museums!

Here one of my pictures of this little diesel:

Little English Electrics like these are really reliable. We had similar 600hp B-Bs in Tasmania and they went on forever and were only retired because the rail owner changed from vacuum to air brake.

There are probably still hundreds of 08 'Gronks' still in service in Great Britain too.
