Well, it took me a while but I have reached my 1000th post. I would like to take this time to thank Charlie for a great forum. I would also like to thank all the friends that I have met here for making this board so fun. This includes the friends that I have met in person, those that I have yet to meet and those who take the time to answer all my questions. THANKS ALL! To celebrate, here is a pic of CNJ # 1000, an Ingersoll Rand Boxcab Diesel: Happy Railroading!
Congratulations! A question- Wasn't there an IR-GE box cab preserved somewhere? Perhaps this one ? Boxcab E50
Russ, Congratulations on your 1000th post I have enjoyed your contributions and look forward to reading more. I would also like to thankyou for the drawing you drew from me. It still hangs with pride in my model room.
Russ, way to go! I enjoy your posts, your artistic talent, photography and sense of humor. Keep it up.
WAY TO GO RUSS! So, now the question is..... How soon will the next 1000 be posted under your postings ???? Thank you for the talents, (specially the art work!) Boxcab, Yes one of the boxcabs are preserved at the St. Louis Transportation Museum... Its the B&O "195" that was renumbered by the B&O an should carry the number "8000" if I'm not mistaken!
Congratulations Russ. Your posts are always good to read, and I look forward to the next 1000 (but not all at once!
Thanks for all of your kind comments guys and gals! It is the family feeling like this that makes me keep coming back. Now, to answer one question posed by Boxcab- That IR Boxcab #1000 is indeed still 100% intact and is currently at the B&O Museum (the one whose roof collapsed ) The engine is exactly as it was when it was last shut down in 1956!!!
