Just the basics to get me back running trains, I will make a cover for it later. Loving the rockwell bladerunner X2 upside down jigsaw thing I bought, great for all around home improvement, makes nice shelves and other stuff like this very quickly with minimal mess.

    Comments and suggestions appreciated!

If your power supply doesn’t have a fan, you might consider adding one if this is going to be turned 90 degrees to be hidden away, running as an exhaust fan. Really like how it is elevated so the air intakes on the bottom can have air circulate and how you have the elements suspended for air circulation to both sides of the board.

Its a Meanwell NES 350-12 (350 watt 29 amp 12 volt DC) it has a fan that is temperature regulated. Very good reliable industrial power supply, spare from building a few 3d printers (upgrading those to 24v for the stepper motors to work better). Thanks though its good advice. I have designed cases for micro controllers for 3d printers, specifically for airflow over the stepper motor drivers which can get very hot and have issues with it. Those take a careful attention to the airflow, even simulation in CAD if one is making it very compact with minimal space. This is going to be a cabinet with tons of flow, not fully sealed it will have large slots for the wiring to pass through as well as pegboard sides that allow a lot of ambient airflow. I dont think it will have any issues and should be OK on ambient cooling. I may add a fan to the setup though, it never hurts to have more cooling. The motor shield could probably use it. Right now though I just want to run a train, haven't in a few days and I miss it.
