The Second Annual Banning Train Fest will take place on October 11 & 12 in Banning. There will be a swap meet (see below), 11,000 square feet of modular layouts, vendors, displays, food booths, a children’s riding train and more. The two venues are the Banning Community Center and the Banning Schools Gymnasium. These are one block apart. As a new feature, the Cajon Division/NMRA will conduct a two-day train meet as part of Train Fest. This will be open to the public at no additional charge over the $5.00 general admission, which is good for both days. The Cajon Division meet will feature model and prototype subject clinics, displays, a model contest, a Hobo auction and a “time saver” switching layout. The swap meet will take place on Saturday (only). Hours: Set-up is 6:00 am – 7:30 am Swap Meet is 8:00 am – 2:00 pm Location: North side of the Banning Schools Gymnasium, which is at the southeast corner of George Street and San Gorgonio Avenue.
