I hearing from a source that the drivetrain of the Bachmann on30 climax is "sspect" as in not a good product. anyone have one? I really like the look and was looking to get one. Looking for more opinions.
Form all I've heard, the Climax is a winner. I'm a member of a couple or three On30 groups on Yahoo and I've yet to hear anything about them. Of course there are lemons in each run I'm sure. Greg
I have heard nothing but good thingsd about them, and in fact am getting one soon . As Greg says though, there is bound to be at least one lemon in every good group!! Best thing to do is go to your LHS and test drive a few John
One is on my wish list. A steel cab version. Wish they had some offered as an oil burner..... When my day comes, I'll need to think of a way to scratch build a tank. Boxcab E50
I have seen pictures and a plan for conversion to an oil burner someplace. I'll see if I can find the link for you. I really like the looks of them and I think when I go to DCC they will be easy to convert. John
