So I guess AZL isn't sticking with the plastic shell construction?

Wow Rob, that's fantastic news. I was wondering what kind of Engines would pull the annouced brass Passenger Car Sets. :)
I'm with Jeff, first the SP A-B-B with the 13 Passenger Cars then the UP's for me. :)This Year will be very expensive.
BTW, thanks to Hans Riddervold who support our Hobby with all those fantastic releases. I hope AZL will bring us also more Injection Molded Engines in the future because they are beautiful, accurate and affordable.

Very nice! Now if we could just get an NP Lowey Green F3 ABA and a North Coast Limited train from AZL, life would really be good! :D

Yes, F3, a sorely needed model in Z Scale. And it is needed now, with a 10mm motor for plenty of pulling power, and a sound module in the B unit that has a selector switch to simulate 2, 3 or 4 prime movers running in MU.

I don't ask for much, I mean, this is of the most basic technology these days. You can fit 2 downward firing speakers, and maybe a couple upward firing speakers, with the electronics and a supercap for uninterupted sound in the middle of a Z Scale B unit.

    Where's the Beef? :D

It's great that AZL has another new release to offer the masses, but as long as we're dreamin' why not some famous name passenger power with the more unique E units like the U.P. City trains using E-2s or CB&Q Zephyr E-5s or even some nice EL Cap or Super Cheif Santa Fe E-1s? I know these E unit bodies are not MRNA (multiple road name applicable) so they will probable never be produced but It's nice to dream.

That is correct. AZL will offer both brass and injeciton releases. This way, AZL can offer a wide variety of prototypes. It sounds like a good plan to me!

No biggie on this one, but lets say you guys do chicken wire F3's I'd want a A-B-B-A set so would hope I could afford all 4. Plus plastic one would be easier to strip.

Hey you know what I bet that dreamy F3 shell would fit the GP7 chassis...

    AZL E7 Update - 10/13/07

AZL's E7s are getting closer to release. There are indications we will have these available in the next month. Ztrack has just received this photo of one beautiful E7 lineup of advance locos!
