Since my budget is presently going to DCC components, I'm going to use the Atlas turntable I bought several years ago. Before installing it on the layout, I'd appreciate some help in making it look less toylike. If anyone has filled the unused track cutouts and painted it so that it looks a little more finished, I'd very much appreciate some guidance. Thanks Mike
"fill the unused track cutouts and painted it so that it looks a little more finished" MY idea to. Todate I have done one thing. Sunk it about 1/4 inch into the table top. I think this will make it less conspicuous and downsize the motor housing building that looks over big. My next act will to put some brush or small bushes around the building to continue it's downsizing. My only beef with the unit is the noisy motor . i bought the first version with the coffee grinder gears. I also sunk my Atlas roundhouse. Dave B. PAT Montreal
