I just got an Atlas SD60M off e-bay and was wondering how to go about doing a coupler conversion on it. Mine came with rapido couplers on it. The conversion kit calls for the MT 1015 kit. but i am wondering how to put it on the loco. Thanks
On the backside of the pilots are black plastic clips with copper "springs" on them. Just pop them out, remove the rapido coupler, replace with a MT 1015 and replace the clip without the "spring". Should take less than a minute each end.
