    I just got my first Atlas loco,a Dash 8-32Bw in Amtrak California paint,and I cant figure out how to get the shell off the chassis?Any help out there?!?

    Alex, The shell pulls striaght up off of the frame, they are just very tight, So be careful. Hope this helps.

    Scott is correct, but look for tabs holding the shell to the frame as well.

    Consider this procedure.
    I would remove the delicate handrails to avoid breaking.
    Remove the fuel tanks and air filter at the rear of the tank.
    Unseat the tabs in the tank area with a small flat head
    screwdriver. Squeeze the rear of the shell to unseat the
    rear tabs and gently pull up.

    I was able to remove the shell and fix the problem,I found the tabs that hold the body down.Thanks for your help all!!!
