Is it known yet if the upcoming GP38-2's by Atlas will take existing decoders? Perhaps similar to the current GP38's and other models that all take the Digitrax DN163AO/TCS AMD1 etc?

I've gotten to the point where I am preferring a different decoder to the ones that Atlas includes with their DCC equipped models, plus I plan to get the third road number this time, which isn't even offered DCC equipped.

In anticipation of these arriving soon, I'd like to have decoders on hand to install, but I'd hate to run out and buy them and find they won't work.

I may have overlooked it, but I didn't see any info on the Atlas website.

    Anyone know?

Atlas already has their DCC chassis available: it is the GP40-2 and GP38 chassis.

The only reason to change the tooling would be to offer the small fuel tank option, which wouldn't require messing with the decoder area.

That said, I _don't_ know and couldn't _guarantee_ that what makes sense is what will be done.

    Drop an email to Atlas.
