Would like some feedback on the first run of Atlas C630s (particularly the CP Maroon Scripts) and how well they run? I have read the odd problem with fitting Digitrax Decoders and want to know how the Lenz decoders are? (in fact do the Lenz support transponding or not???) Am thinking about picking up the first run at the LHS or ebay and then putting in an order for the second run in the Red scheme. Thanks PS - I'm not that much of a rivet counter to the wrong trucks don't bother me that much!!!
what kind of problem are you referring to ? i have some of these units all with digitrax decoders. they run very well.
Hi Sandro I had read in earlier posts that the Digitrax Decoders were slightly too big (or the frame too small). Either way, not that big a deal....just wanted an opinion on how good the loco is and how well it runs. I want to model the first unit coaltrains through the Crowsnest.
The two I have are both fitted with Digitrax decoders and the fit was easy, not problem and they run like butter. I consist with an Atlas SD-35, and other Atlas locos. Doc
TCS makes a very easy drop-in decoder for the Atlas diesels. There is no problem with the fit in the Atlas frame. The decoder in the Atlas N scale diesels made by Lenz for Atlas, is your basic no-frills decoder. Stay cool and run steam.....
