Does anybody know why Athearn changed the arrival date for the new Challengers from early May to "Due Date TBD"? Just noticed this change on the web-page today. Fred
Not sure, the HO Challengers are saying late May now though and I don't rememer seeing a date on them before. I wonder if somebody got their scales crossed when updating arrival dates. The N Challengers we have on backorder at the shop show due late June and have for quite a while.

Have you asked Athearn? They're the only ones who can answer definitively about their product status.
I guess they changed the date from May to June. I can live with that. As long as they don't cancel the run altogether. Fred
Well if I decide to take the plunge the later release helps the old credit card get some relief. And I will only take that plunge if I can run it on DC and the release includes a single stack version again.
After picking up my two Athearn Big Boys this week at my LHS, they let me know that Horizon is saying the Challengers will be delivered in June. That's good, I've got some pre-paid ones comin'...3700 Class for helper service from Ogden to Wahsatch...shoving on the end of all non-Big Boy pulled trains. There's no reason for them to be cancelled, and I'd bet they're out of the container and getting sorted and ready to ship. Cheers! Bob Gilmore
