I teach a class on electricity / electronics at Berthoud High School. Berthoud High School is a small four year public high school located north of Denver at Berthoud Colorado. I believe when the student learns using real world hands on learning experiences the student learns quicker and retains more of what they learned. With this philosophy in mind I have and idea of using HO trains as a real world and hands on learning experience. Everything from basic DC to digital control to art to math can be experienced using trains. HO was selected because of size and availability. An additional off shoot to this experience is the students will be using something they can carry into their adult life as a hobby. I need your assistance in getting this project up and running. I need trains, track, switches, and other electricity power accessories I do not have the necessary funds to purchase the equipment therefore I must rely upon donations.
