I think rick did mention somewhere that it would be happening very very soon, so we all better start preparing huh? While you at it bring a friend along I'm sure it will be worth waiting for.
In the very first layout party I did, I posted I would be doing it and that everyone was to have an idea, and start on a specific date about a half a week latter. What happened is that everyone started right away. So I gave up with the advanced warning, because some people were on the "proper" start time and others were on the "lets start now" start time. I did one at 8 weeks which was too long, 6 weeks wasn't too bad but things started to peter out. I'm thinking of 5 weeks - any comments. Also I was thinking I would announce it this coming Monday the 12th of January. I usually come up with some hokey title for it. I haven't had any brilliant inspiration yet. How about "Workin the layout." It isn't great, but the first layout party I ever threw was "Lonely Hearts Club Band". It was kind of hokey but I liked it. Maybe that will be it - "Lonely Hearts Club Band - Part two." Okay I won't quit my day job.
So.....now by announcing the 1/12 announcement you have everyone running to their layout to get a headstart.
Hoss, That's part of the hidden agenda, but many who participate in it are from different forums, like Atlas, the gauge, MR forum, etc. And I will be advertising on Monday when the forums are their most busy - everyone back from the weekend off.
I still say its a great idea and your a genious for developing the plan Rick. No Matter what you call it How bout just plain old "Get off your butt and do something"
