I have been building a GN Slant cupola caboose, and just finished a walthers ballast car in GN's black and white New Image scheme:

And on the Atlas forum, a GN Waffle-side 40' boxcar: (Wazzou is the guy's handle)

    And a most incredible kitbash:

    I am just droolin'!!!

I'm losing it. I think that the 40' box car is a thing of beauty.

We're trying! Eventually, we WILL prevail! You will be brought back from the dark side of post-mega-mergers. Home to the wonderous colors of the classic diesel and box car era.

    That's why I model a dual era! *1989, and 1970-1974*
But I love my SD40-2's, so I don't think I'll be backdating to 1969 any time soon....

I noticed the same thing yesterday, and although all are good, Bryan's waffleside really caught my eye.

He said it "stands out" among his favorites, and I replied " not only does it stand out, it's outstanding!

What was the basis for the box car? An IM kit?
