It only exists in photo shop. I took a scan of a fan that the NRHS chapter in Roanoke VA gave out for excursions, moved the text around and added the IC emblem.
Those orange and white's sure looked nice right out of the paint shop but give them a day or two and it was a different story!
What about modelers? I remember back in the late 1970's, when I was active with NTRAK, there was a fellow named Kent Lannert. He had some really nice IC o/w paint scheme stuff. Seemed to be modeling ahead of his time. Wonder what happened to him? Boxcab E50
A good friend of mine (who got me going in N scale again many years ago) models IC. His "Mississippi Valley RR" N scale layout was featured in Rail Model Journal about five or so years ago.
A couple of interesting photos.... I like GP30's; those GM&O units with their AAR-B trucks are especially interesting. (I think I remember an article in MR many years ago about modeling one in HO) I also like the orange and white IC & ICG units... very different! Harold
Hello all. I just registered here. I am still a fan of the IC Railroad and am in the process of building an HO scale Illinois Central layout. ICMR Happy Railroading.
