Since I retired in December 2016, I can't say I am playing with 1:1 scale trains any more.

How offices were referred to was all over the board. Storrs Jct was actually a cabin.

And HN Cabin was actually a tower

As can be seen from the picture - the Storrs Jct. building was hard on the banks of the Oho River. As can also be seen, there were a number of track, of various ownerships between the building and River Road (aka US 50) that was the closest road approach to the building. At the time I worked it, one was able to park on River Road. Attached to the 18 or 20 foot retaining wall that separated the railroads from the street, there was a ladder that employees climbed over the the two or three foot high portion of the wall adjacent the roadway and use the ladder to reach the railroad level and then keep your head on a swivel for movements on any track at any time as you walked across the tracks to the building. End of shift was the same procedure in reverse.

Note that the 'Yellow' Train Order Board is displayed. Storrs Jct, being the Easternmost point of the St. Louis Division was the location where Westbound trains (inferior by direction) obtained train orders to authorize their movements beyond Storrs Jct - at that time the railroad was Rule 251 double track for about 6 miles to the EEDT CW Cabin (which had no building).

As I seem to recall, there was a bait shop on the land side of River Road that was the landmark to use for where the ladder was located on the river side of River Road.

The following Loving Spoonful song was popular at the time and seemed to chronicle my experience - Cincinnati being the 'big city'
