That's pretty cool. I could never pull off a british layout, because I don't have the FEEL for the landscape and setting, but I love seeing layouts like this. Mind you, I do keep a small selection of Brit stock and locos jut because I like them.
Yup, I’ve often found myself looking at the British engines at the Hatton’s site. I’ve also had my eye on a Flying Scotsman set elswhere. Will need to see how Santa treats me.
Nice. The UK part of the layout is featured in December's Railway Modeller magazine, and the European part is in January's Continental Modeller magazine. He wanted to do a 'what if' layout, as if Eurostar was built 30 years prior to when it was opened, so that sixties and seventies rolling stock could go over the channel. That's why there's a rebuilt West Country class pulling a Golden Arrow Pullman car rake through Antwerp.
