Hello! I used to be way active on nscale.org but cannot get it to load anymore so here I am! I have an attic layout that i am building. i have 4 ptz webcams around the layout. the track is pretty much layed out but have not even begun to plan out the final electrical details. I am using 8 am usb digitrax 8 amp empire builder. will be using signalling will be using JMRI will be using transponding will be using my own custom electronics for lighting the layout (will show details in posts) the layout is u shaped. legs are 16 and 20 foot and width is 12 foot. deck is pretty much 36 incheds wide the layout is basically dual tracks with crossovers, a mountian tunnel and roundabout, large yard, turntable.
NE Portland... I will have some pictures up shortly... I strayed so far away from the original track plan, I bet it will take me years to get it done... but I will try. I have a preliminary plan in scarm that I will put up.
Welcome and yes we need pictures. I also voted yes on your poll, anything electrical is always appreciated.
Welcome aboard Therios! I sure wish I was more electronics savvy since I started N scale Model railroad last year-I had no clue how advanced the hobby had grown. I'm jealous of folks like you with that knowledge...I sort of get by though
OK... so i uploaded photos of the layout in its early post-benchwork state to the nscale album. i have a lot to do!! I still do not have an accurate or even close SCARM file... I am using Digitrax 8amp USB empire builder radio equiped with an older 8amp booster for future use is necessary... cannot imagine how or where. Full digitrax transponding and occupancy Full digitrax signalling i have to figure out where i will plan to place water and other such stuff. i just wish someone could tell me dimply what i need to know about signalling such as placement of the lights. I think that i am close but do not understand what i need to know to get things placed and properly gapped... i do not even know for sure if i have a reversing loop or four. The entire layout will be buss wired. I have binding blocks that i will show step by step to do it right and little loss of signal. comments are encouraged and welcome
