Another ICRR fan on here, but I am slowly aquiring rolling stock and building engines to model the IC around the turn of the century. I am in the midst of completing my New Orleans Fast Mail train number 1. This of coarse was the train that J.L. (Casey) Jones was in charge of in April of that year. I plan to use a pair of the AHM/Rivarossi engines to model both the 382, which was actualy engineer Sam Tate's machine as well as the 384 as that was Jones's assigned engine normaly. I also plan to use a few of the new MDC RTR 2-8-0's to do the 638 and a couple other of the freight engines. While not a perfect match, they will give the flavor of the line during that time. I have found all the old MDC Overton ICRR Fast Mail cars, out of production for quite awile now. I plan to detail them, working markers on the tail car and hopefully light them. Full interiors is not in my modeling skills, so frosted windows will be installed with onboard battery lighting, probably LED's. I plan to use a NWSL regear in the 4-6-0 and add constant lighting and working class lights. The actual layout is in the distant future, I have a nice Marklin german layout right now. But I hope to model the area around the wreck site eventualy. Cheers Mike

    Welcome at TrainBoard, Mike.

What about starting with a module? You can test some material and more.
