For those that think the Athearn unit rides too high, note the cab steps (which are correct to the prototype in having part of the steps mounted on the front truck ala Lionel!!). Notice that the step spacing on the fixed portion and the truck portion also is the same in the gap between the top of the truck step to the bottom of the cab step, and agrees with the spacing of the fixed body steps on the rear of the unit. Therefore: the unit is the correct height above the truck! Charlie
