I've had a bit of problems but everything is okay now. I've been trying to learn Japanese. I'm doing okay but it is difficult. I'm having fun with it anyway. I'm going to work on my structure tomorrow. Hope to have pictures soon.
Glad to hear you are good again. Problems, we don't need stinking problems. Haha Looking forward to seeing your bowling alley progress. Good luck with your Japanese lessons. Joe
Glad you are okay. Looking forward to pics. Good luck with the Nihon. I have been watching Youtube channels about Japan. One I viewed a lot was "Abroad In Japan" by Chris Broad. Very interesting. He has many videos. North Japan seems especially interesting. "Go North Japan" is a channel about the Hokkaido area. I am sure you are already using the Japanese learning Youtube videos. I was surprised that the language uses three scripts. Sorry to be so "wordy". Stay well.
Well, I will be the one to butt-in, I know it is non of my business, but that's just me, so: Does anybody know anything about the whereabouts of this young lady. She has not been "seen" on the forum since July 16, two months ago. I am concerned about her wellbeing, especially in today's environment. Does an "official" of this forum have a way to contact an individual to checkup on them? ? ? ? If not, they should ! ! ! I pray she is OK, Carl
I also have been concerned with Candy's non-appearance. Candy, dear TB compatriot, wherefore art thou?
We have no official way of making contact, other than via a (PM) TrainBoard Conversation. Anyone on the Board can give that method a try. If so, please let us know how she is?
Sorry everyone. I'm back and I'm okay. Been reading the forum trying to catch-up with what's been going on.
I'm going to try and paint the bar. I forgot how to prep it. I need help. I don't want the paint to bleed
Use a primer. Krylon works. Then hit it with a little sand paper. No paint bleed then. The 3d prints are very rough and difficult to paint unless you smooth the out. I've literally done hundreds of shapeways prints, see the thread "interurbans are trains too.. Randy
Welcome back Candy. We have missed your conversation and artistic tallents. The avatar is nice, you remind me of my little darling and her mother. But they had Aburn colored hair and at 5'4" they came in at 96lb. My little Brandi Lynn was born 3 Feb '71. I found my bowling ball as well. Being stored in a barn since 1998 it, the bag and shoes aren't in very good condition. I will be on vacation in November, December and January so I hope the guys take good care of you. I'm not experienced with this new style of modeling. But enjoy seeing it done so well. Richard
Correct, I should not assume. Without the Bestine cleaning the paint will never dry. There are alternatives but the Bestine bath is the fastest and most effective. I just reclaimed my Bestine , I keep it in Ragu jars. When the wax builds up in the jar I put it in the freezer. Then I use a new Ragu jar and a coffee filter to strain the estine into the new jar. The old waxy jar get tossed.
How do you keep yours from evaporation? No matter how tightly I attempt to seal any container used, it always seems to slowly disappear.
