Ok. I've been having trouble with my Badger airbrush of late. I use a Badger 200 airbrush internal mix with model flex paints. First the airbrush is not pulling the paint out of the bottles. Now the air is blowing back into the bottle and blowing the paint out the vent hole in the bottle cap. I've cleaned the airbrush several times and started over with fresh paint bottles. Anyone have ideas? Thanks Joe
Ensure the needle is not bent, have you tried spraying some thinners first to ensure there is no dried paint blocking somewhere?
Joe, check the Needle-Bearing (#50-046) - is it still in place ? (or did you lose it while cleaning the airbrush ?)
Thank you Gentlemen I am in fact missing the 50-046 part. Amazing I don't recall ever seeing it. Thanks for the help. Trip to the shop tomorrow! Regards
If you are using Modelflex paints and are cleaning your airbrush with acetone or laquer thinner, the paint will turn to a jello like mess inside your airbrush. I know. I did it . You have to use water with Modelflex paints.
I learned that lesson myself. I do clean the brush now with hot water and q-tips. The missing part was the problem, thank you all. I'm happily back to painting!!!!! Joe
Try pulling the needle out, put a little vasaline on the needle and put it back in. the seal might be dry from cleaning and air might be passing through . At least thats what was wrong with my GREX.
