Yesterday, I had a party at a hotel in the outskirt of Bangkok and decided that it doesn't worth the hassle of gridlock that BKK is notorious for; that was one reason to catch a train. Another reason was: Since I'd be at Hua Lamphong buying a steam excursin ticket anyway why not combine both of my trip into one. Prelude's over,,we get on to the show. As I sat on a bench wating for train 207 (Bangkok-Nakorn Sawan) to show up a diesel railcar comes in a string of locos gets on the point of Train 211 (Bangkok-Tapan Hin) Engine crew lace up the air. shadow of past, face of future
And train 211 departs Bangkok with one loco hitching a ride to Bang sue shop and a GE UM12C that had one of its prime mover shut down. both will get lopped off at Bang Sue and the train will get a new loco for the trip. Then, my ride, THN/NKF trainset comes up. I find my seats settled down and waits for departure. As I waits, cleaning crews hose my train down but, there's a catch next concourse has a train in it blocking the way. Wanna see his solution? we left. motorists got a bit bothered
It's a wreck train But why he comes out?!? I finally stepped off the train at Bang Khen Station and hang around a bit Train 72 (Si khoraphum-Bangkok) heads in the wreck train meets with train 72
And the mistery cleared up when I asked the stationmaster, he said that the wreck train was heading to Nakorn Ratchasima to help the mechs at the Nakorn Ratchasima shop change a wheelset on one of the equipment. And I'd like to end this trip with a picture set of wreck train passing the station.
